A New Mommy's BlogI have moved to http://rachellovespaul.blogspot.com - Visit me there! Or check out my old blogs below the pictures.
June 02 I HAVE MOVED!As promised, I have moved my blog. Please visit me over there.
Don't forget to change your bookmarks and all things that link to this page!
For future referencing, I'll have a link on my new page so you can come back and reminisce. May 31 Big Changes in StoreI should just quit procrastinating and just make the announcement.
No. I'm not pregnant. Sorry folks.
I'm going to be changing the blogging site I use. I've been messing around for a couple weeks at another site, and I think I have everything figured out. I've enjoyed using Spaces, but have heard it's really hard to leave comments - like you'll have it typed up and go to enter it and will end up on a different page. Plus, I'd like to get creative with photos in my entries, and it's kind of hard to do that here.
Stay tuned. I'll give you the address on Monday.
Now that I've made the announcement, maybe I'll be motivated to actually finish up and make things presentable over there. May 28 Garden FunMy friend Carrie called me this morning and was going a bit stir-crazy, so we had an impromtu gardening morning. Even though it's rained close to 6 inches in the last week, we still managed some gardening. We had mud boots, so we got out there and got those weeds pulled!
We left the kids in the house on account of all the mud/mud puddles/wet grass. But then Zoe came out and said Xavier was beating up on Nathan, and Nathan was crying. (Xavier's not even 1 1/2 yet, so give him a break.) So I went and brought Nathan outside. At first I stood him up and let him hold onto my knee while I weeded, but then he started trying to pull the peas. So I found a..... Not dry, but at least less-muddy spot..... and let him sit and play with some grass and a couple big rocks I found out there. I didn't see him actually eating the mud, I just thought his mouth was getting dirty from chewing on the piece of grass, which wasn't going to hurt him.
But a while later, I heard him gag and looked over and he's gagging up and the whole inside of his mouth was black. Apparently the grass and rocks weren't amusing anymore and he actually had eaten a chunk of mud.
(Ignore the sexiness that is myself in this photo and concentrate on the muddy-mouthed Adorablus Munchkinatorus. Or The Cuteness (Xavier) chomping an apple behind us. The stupid photo uploader wouldn't upload the other better picture.) When he threw up, I decided it was time to take him in and hose him off. A boy's two favorite things: getting muddy, then getting naked.
Signs of good times. Aren't the teeny-tiny crocs just adorable?
Hopefully the adventure wore him out, and he'll take a long nap this afternoon. I need to get some housework done.
But I may take a nap. May 27 Note to Self:When "skanking it up" to go work outside pulling weeds in the bright sunshine and 90% humidity, apply sunscreen to your back.
ALL of your back, not just the top half.
Because shirts that meet the "skanking it up" qualifications are never very long. And pulling weeds requires bending over.
(And those stripes are stretch marks for those of you unacquainted with the loveliness that comes from growing outrageous amounts during adolescence.) May 24 Evidence of Toothiness
Thanks for visiting! Let me know what you think of my blog! (Yes, that was a shameless request for a compliment.)
